Product Description
1 x Small Gasteria Duval
Alternative Names: The Gasteria Duval, also known as the Ox Tongue, Lawyer’s Tongue, or Gasteria Lily due to its tongue-shaped leaves, is a member of the Asphodelaceae family.
Care Guide:
Light: Gasteria Duval prefers light shade to partial sun. While it can survive in full sun, the intense heat might damage its leaves.
Water: This plant requires regular but moderate watering during the growing season (spring and summer). Let the soil dry out completely before the next watering. In winter, the plant goes into dormancy and water requirements reduce significantly.
Temperature: The ideal temperature range is 70-90 degrees Fahrenheit. While the plant can survive cooler temperatures, it’s sensitive to frost.
Soil: A well-draining succulent or cacti mix is best. A combination of potting soil, coarse sand, and pumice works well.
Feeding: Feed your plant once a month with a low nitrogen succulent fertilizer during the growing season.
Repotting: Gasterias are slow-growing plants and require repotting only once every two or three years. Spring is the best time for repotting.
Propagation: It is best propagated through leaf cuttings or offsets. Leaf cuttings should be allowed to callous over for a few days before planting in well-draining soil.
